ECO-X Adventure Race 2015

Event Date:

Dear Competitors, Volunteers, and Friends,

We are so looking forward to having each and everyone of you on this Sunday! The Eco-X team has been working hard on the race course, constructing our obstacles and garnering more sponsors to make the Eco-X a spectacular race that celebrates the spirit of the outdoor adventure community.

With our different race distances, we have successfully managed to lure over 400 people into the gruesome pleasures of adventure racing! The 21km will be tough and torturous for kiasu participants who want to challenge themselves. The 5km is a non-competitive event for kiasi newbies who want to get a taste of adventure. The 11km is perfect for those who can’t decide if they are kiasu or kiasi ! And then we have the kids category for the under 12’s who are just hyper and adventurous.

This year, thanks to many generous individual sponsors, we have been able to invite groups of children from the local community to have the opportunity to participate in the race and (hopefully!) develop a love for outdoor adventure. Please do contact us if you would like to sponsor a child.

Due to popular demand and highly understanding suppliers, we are still open for registration until 10th June. So do spread the word so we can share our beautiful and adventurous race course and give out more of our sponsors fabulous goodies! (See our exciting announcement below)

Our Eco X races have really developed a reputation as being “created by adventurers for adventurers”, where the somewhat tongue-in-cheek atmosphere belies a grim test of endurance and determination. We are 100% committed this year to once again bring you the most fun and fiendish races we can devise. So train hard, train together and don’t forget the bananas!

Race Director

About Eco-X Series

Nomad Adventure started the Eco-X race series back in 2000 with Malaysia's first true adventure race. Over the next 10 years we progressed getting bigger, better and bolder, amounting to the 2010 Eco X-Capade. Over the years we've included; running, cycling, kayaking, roller-blading and rock climbing in to our races.

Revived in 2014, we give to you the new generation of the Eco-X Series. The new generation of races are all non-technical, there are no technical skills required such as rock climbing or kayaking, which mans everybody can participate. These races are the chance for you to escape the concrete jungle and have a muddy affair with the outdoors. Our races will have you escaping not only the city but you'll be escaping from the challenges we lay along the way for you!

Our challenges will see you climbing obstacles, getting muddy and for the die-hard Eco-X fans, Nomad's signature Mystery Tests will be back! The aim of the race, to escape from Nomad Adventure's fearless leader, and race director, Chan Yuen-Li, who will be setting the challenges for you!
